Facebook Proxy Server

Unblock Facebook Using A Proxy Server

It is possible that you have heard on the news about countries banning the use of certain websites. If you are a victim of such oppression we got you covered. Proxy Servers are so helpful in fact, regardless of any filter you are subject to it can be overcome. Another alternative will be Virtual Private Servers. A VPS will not only change your virtual location but will also change other information to further anonymize your internet footprint.

What Is A Proxy Server?

Facebook Proxy Servers When your computer has an internet connection you now have access to the world wide web. In order to connect to a particular website you must have a path to the files needed to display on the device you are surfing with. This path is supplied by various servers connected to each other. These can record who and when they pass by. A lot of your private information is revealed. Your IP is recorded most of all and with that comes your geographical location.

This is important because if you have heavy censorship in your country, your IP will not have access to whatever that was. For instance, there was a Twitter Ban in a foreign country. No one from that area has the privilege to tweet anymore unless they are using proxies or a VPS. Messed up right? Using a Facebook Proxy Server will do the same. The server will have an unrestricted path that you can travel through. Basically meaning you will now have a new IP that has free roam to any site they want.

Facebook-PrivacyIf you dont have permission to access Facebook for any reason, try using a free proxy from this list in your browser. if you can not find one that works you can also this proxie surfer where you can type in a website and surf without changing browser settings. When all else fails a VPS will without a doubt fix your censorship problem. This technique requires software installation and a slight learning curve.

The internet should be public domain. No one has the right to tell the people what they can and can not view or say. Dont site by and be idle in the face of a tyrant. Go get your freedom back. Good day to your all!

Facebook Terms Of Service Update

Most terms that the users must agree with are mostly elaborate maze like sentences that encode a secret agreement that only college professors can understand. Ok well, not that complicated but it is more complex that it needs to be. I don’t know one person in my life that has ever read any terms of service completely and understood its contents thoroughly. Understand in this day and age your privacy is sought after by many people. This has been a huge market for years but now at an all time high.

Statement of Rights and Responsibilities

Forgive me for being over protective. Its just, if you knew what is at stake you would agree. As it states in the Facebook Terms Of Service the contents may be updated at anytime. Meaning they will update it from time to time to protect their interests. Like all other terms they redirect the users to different pages including Facebook Principles, Data Policy and many more. Unless you feel like dedicating two hours of your time to read each page you will have to prematurely agree.

facebook termsMost of their true intentions will never be publicly available for anyone outside the company to see. Most social media websites are information data centers.  Many corporations are at mercy to their stock holders. Their basic approach is you grant Facebook the right to use you information, pictures and videos royalty free.  So they will share all that with advertisers to market users. This agreement is terminated when you deactivate your account. If your picture was shared however it will remain until that users also deletes it.

Behind The Scenes

While they encode their terms in lengthy paragraphs they try to express their plan to protect your privacy. Just know that these accounts are not technically yours. They are the property of Facebook. They specifically use Cookies to keep track of your meta data. This will be used to present advertising that are relevant to your interests. All the pages, photos, videos and posts you like are recorded. You willfully supply this to them royalty free wile they make money from it.

Creating A New Facebook Account – Strong Privacy Settings

Today most people have a Facebook account unless they were living under a rock or Social Media just isn’t your thing. It just didn’t feel right making a blog about Facebook Advice without creating a post dedicated to creating a new Facebook account and set the privacy settings correctly. As the future becomes the past more and more technology is discovered. It seems more of that tech is being used in a negative way. Privacy should be top notch on all these sites. If you are deeply concerned about your life’s privacy its best not to have any accounts at all because that data is stored whether you delete your account or not.

Read the terms of service, user agreement and data policy that these companies have. Know what you are agreeing to. You are bound to it like a contract. Head over to the homepage and fill out the form data. Remember to create a strong password when creating any new account on the internet. After you submit the form they will have you go threw a couple steps to setup your profile.

Most of this info is not required so fill out only what you are comfortable sharing to their servers. Some of this info can be hidden from the public but none of it from the company. Confirm your email to get verified. The only true information you should provide is your name ( alias or birth name ) so you can be found a default picture so people can recognize you. Anything other than those two in my opinion are not necessary to use the network. From here you can also deactivate Facebook pages.

Facebook-PrivacyPrivacy Settings And Tools

On the top blue bar there will be a set of links on the right side. Click on the one with a lock and a set of three stripe protruding from the right side. These are your privacy settings. Make you profile incompletely private and only allow access from friends and no one else. Also try posting your status updates with your friends only. This stops search engines and random users online from seeing your information.

Security Settings

Setup your facebook security settings with the same perspective as your privacy. As high as they allow. We strongly recommend using app passwords because most apps change their access level frequently. They also reserve the right to change it at any time so its nice they added this feature. A crucial part is also to set you location notifications on. If someone logged into your account from a remote location this will set a red flag an they will make you aware of it by email.

Changing Your Facebook Password – Account Security

With all your valuable and personal information being on the internet, it is most important that it is protected. Social Media asks very personal questions that you may or may not answer. Some, none or all of that can be displayed or hidden. Its mostly up to you. In any case, a strong password is a must for tight security. Hacks come in all shapes and sizes. Don’t be a victim to prying eyes and change your Facebook password a couple times a year to protect your personal information. Some of these ateps can not be preformed if the Facebook Account is unavailable.

Creating A Strong Password

facebook passwordIt is recommended to have at least 5 passwords you can remember that are complex combinations of numbers, letters and special characters. The best practice for creating a great key is to try not to use some of that personal information you are protecting as part of it. It is best to remember a popular phrase or quote and take the first letter of each word. Every 2,3 or 4 digits will be capitalized. Example: Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.

In practice we will use “snTbaSbrTboV” as the pass. For a more advanced approach we can add a number every 4 or five letters. This way it can always be remembered as long as you never forget the quote. Never use the phrase just remember it. Check the strength of the ones you come up with here. Remember that these website may or may not store these in a database. Be careful using the actual one you choose to stick with.

Resetting Your Password On Facebook

delete facebook accountIf you can not remember what it was to log in your account, you can go to the homepage and click the “Forgot Your Password?” link. The email you have sing up with will be sent a link to start the process for you. When you are logged in to your account you can just click that little arrow at the very top right of the page. Choose the password section and enter the current and new password you would like to use.

If this is not enough security for you try resetting the pass to your email account as well that is linked to that profile. This way there is a double layer of security. Using the same pass for another account is not recommended. Remember a few more phrases and start that process all over again. In a short amount of time you will remember them.

Facebook Cover Photo Dimensions

Facebook photo size guideA the cover photo is the very first thing that meets the eye when a Facebook page is visited. It is very important to choose the right images that not only represent the page but also creates a good first impression. This portion of your profile will also be shown when someone hovers over your name anywhere on the site.

Your Facebook Cover Photo generates interest that will follow down the page and onto the content. It can have a call to action or simply just bring people attention to something new that you are working on. Keeping this updated with new graphics can improve user interaction by quite a few. Most of the time people just cant get the sizing down or can’t design it properly.  Putting text here is a good eye grabber but lets run by some other good options.

Creating Great Facebook Cover Photos

Right from the beginning most users think they can just upload whatever they want. This feature was first created back when the timeline was introduced. Many did not like the changes. When you first tried to upload a picture there would be warning that came up with a warning.

Picking a photo from your life to feature at the top of your timeline. Note: This space is not meant for banner ads or other promotions. Please don’t use content that is commercial, promotional, copyright-infringin or already in use on other peoples covers.

The above guidelines are not as serious as they were before. Now people pretty much just upload what they want as long as it is safe for work. There is still a change that your account may get suspended if it is reported as abusive in any way so be careful. All your hard work can go down the drain. Sizing is what you should be focused on. if you are paying for a person to design it its obvious this information isn’t required but you should know it anyways just in case.

facebook-bannerIn the picture at the top you can see all the dimensions, width and height. Find ways to either center the photo and text or align it to the right. This way important parts of the deign are not hidden by your default image. A great design can even merge the default pic with the background. Space is valuable here. its kind of like a tweet. This can bring the true artist out.

I personally use a call to action on my account. Not only will you see higher conversion rates but there will also be an increase with iteration across the whole page. More likes shares and comments across the board.

Deactivating Facebook Pages

delete facebook accountThere is a difference between a deactivated Facebook page and deleting it. Sometimes people will choose to temporarily remove themselves from situations. Deactivation is is the best option if you plan on returning another day to continue where you left off. Note that this will not completely get rid of all your information. That will be kept on their servers but unreadable by other accounts on the network. Some errors may happen, like your Facebook account is temporarily unavailable. A Deactivated Facebook page will:

  • All of the post made with the account will not be discover-able.
  • Your photos and videos can not be viewed by anyone but will be kept on servers.
  • Messages may be seen but you wont be able to be tagged in ant type of post.

This is the action to take if you never wish to access the account again. If you make or just sick of the people on he network I suggest you to just deactivate instead. It is a pain to add all those people again and is just a waste of time int he long run. It is much faster to just remove those people or photos your don’t like. At the end of the day ots your profile and can do what you want. These are the most important thing you need to know before you make you decision:

  • You will loose ALL your data. This can NOT be undone.
  • Facebook reserves the right to keep some or all your data on servers for any reason.
  • Your personal information like the email you used to sign up, your name and other things.

What option And Why

I would like you to leave a friendly comment on if or why you chose to do what you did. It may help other people who come across this page that are unsure what to do. Delete or or Deactivate? I never had a reason for either. No matter what, you can not control what they do with your information regardless. Facebook is known for using your data for third parties. Please read the terms of service agreement.

On the other hand their are benefits when staring from scratch. Sometime we as humans say and do thing we regret later on down the road. No judgment here. Do what you must. Good day to you all…
